Do you offer toenail treatments?
Yes, we provide professional toenail treatments for fungal infections, thickened nails, damaged nails, and ingrown toenails. Our podiatrists use safe, sterile techniques to restore nail health, comfort and appearance.

Can you help with plantar fasciitis?
Absolutely. Plantar fasciitis or fasciopathy, is one of the most common causes of heel pain. We offer tailored treatment plans including exercises, taping, footwear advice, cushioned padding, custom foot orthotics, and activity management advice to relieve pain and improve mobility and function. The sooner you get the right advice to manage this condition- the better!

What is a sports podiatrist?
A sports podiatrist specialises in diagnosing and treating foot and lower limb injuries related to physical activity. Do you offer orthopaedic foot care?
Yes, our Podiatrist Louise is highly experienced in orthopaedic foot and ankle care for conditions like arthritis, joint pain, and structural deformities. She is able to discuss surgical treatment options, post surgery rehabilitation and works closely with orthopaedic foot and ankle consultants when needed to ensure comprehensive care. Referral to NHS or private orthopaedic services can be facilitated when required.

We proudly serve the Badenoch and Strathspey local community. We are based in Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands. Our clinic is easily accessible and offers a welcoming environment for all foot care needs and all individuals. Our clinic address is Unit 17/8, Spey Valley Business Park, Dalfaber Industrial Estate, Aviemore, PH22 1ST. We also now provide a home visit service also.

Are your treatments suitable for children and older adults?
Yes, we offer foot care for all ages. from children to older adults. Our podiatrists tailor treatments to suit each individuals needs across all stages of life. Under 16’s attending the clinic must be accompanied by an adult.

How do I know if I need to see a foot specialist?

Do you treat diabetic foot conditions?
Absolutely. We provide comprehensive foot care advice, prevention and treatment for people living with diabetes. This includes nerve testing, circulation checks, and regular nail and skin care to prevent complications. We provide diabetic foot screening every 6-12 months as recommended.

What are orthotics (or insoles) and do I need them?
Orthotics are shoe inserts designed to alter force, pressure or timing of loads through your foot, ankles, knees, hips, lower back. They can be prescribed to improve pain, comfort, function, prevention and can be recommended for conditions like heel pain, flat foot deformity, and metatarsalgia. We can provide simple first line orthotics as well as custom made 3D printed foot orthotics to suit all individual needs and price points.

Are your treatments covered by insurance or NHS referrals?
We are a self pay private service, which means payment is required at time of treatment. If you have private health care insurance either individually or through your employer, our treatments may be covered. We are HCPC registered Podiatrists and can provide invoices with appropriate details for your claim.
We can advise on costs associated with private care, and suspected treatment plan. We can discuss NHS referral options also and support your individual choice in the best way forward for your care. Contact us for more details if you have any specific questions. -
Do you provide home visits?
Yes, Foot Forte Podiatry offers home visit appointments for patients who are housebound or have difficulty travelling to the clinic. Routine foot‑care treatment is provided in the patient’s home, care home or hospital setting by a Foot Health Practitioner.

How much are your appointments?
Appointment fees vary depending on the type of treatment required. Our most common services, including routine foot‑care and toenail‑care appointments and start from £45. Home visit fees are higher due to travel costs. Specialist treatments for nail and verrucae start from £55. Toenail removal surgery pirces start from £300.
Sports Podiatry assessments begin at £90 and insoles range between £40- £400. We recommend contacting the clinic directly if you want to discuss the cost of your appointment or treatments in more detail. -
Do I see a Podiatrist or a Foot Health Practitioner?
Both provide foot‑care services, but the right choice depends on your needs. A podiatrist is a degree‑qualified, HCPC‑registered clinician trained to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot and lower‑limb conditions. A Foot Health Practitioner provides routine foot‑care treatments such as nail care and basic skin management. For general maintenance, a Foot Health Practitioner is appropriate. For diagnosis, complex conditions, or medical foot problems, you should see a podiatrist.

Is a Foot Health Practitioner the same as a Chiropodist?
No. A Foot Health Practitioner is not the same as a chiropodist (now known as a Podiatrist). Chiropodists/podiatrists are degree‑qualified and HCPC‑registered clinicians trained to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot and lower‑limb conditions. Foot Health Practitioners provide routine foot‑care treatments such as nail care and basic skin management but do not offer advanced diagnostic or clinical interventions.

What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring a list of your medical conditions, medical history and any medications you take.
Bring a selection of your footwear, and if you use any padding, insoles or orthotics, bring these as well.Wearing loose‑fitting trousers or shorts is helpful.
We are able to help with your shoes and socks during your appointment. If you wear compression stockings, we will help you with this.
