Our business owner and clinical director Louise Fisher has consistently demonstrated her commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. Here are some key aspects of her educational journey;

Formal Education

Louise completed her BSc in Podiatry at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2014. She further expanded her knowledge by pursuing an MSc in Health Services Management from Glasgow University in 2023.

College Membership

In 2018, Louise achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Faculty of Podiatric Medicine through rigorous examination. This accomplishment reflects her dedication to high quality, up to date care in her field. She is also an active member of the Royal College of Podiatry.

Executive Board Role

Louise’s passion for education extends beyond personal growth. She was elected as an ordinary member of the faculty executive board of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2023. Through this role, she actively contributes to shaping podiatric education and standards both nationally and internationally.  

Clinical Specialisation

While working in both the NHS and private sectors, Louise has continually learned and developed her expertise. Her focus areas include musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, biomechanics, and orthopedics, yet she strives to advocate for the unique skill set of podiatrists and how they can positively impact the healthcare system. Louise’s work experience spans multiple NHS Scotland Health Boards and private sports injury and rehabilitation centers. In these settings, she encountered a wide range of patients and conditions, further enhancing her clinical skills. 

International Experience

Louise’s academic journey took her beyond her home country. She had the opportunity to study abroad at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. This international exposure enriched her perspective and allowed her to learn from diverse healthcare systems and practices.

Driving Change

Louise’s passion lies in driving positive change to enhance quality within her field. She actively engages in shared learning, collaborates with colleagues, and advocates for educational initiatives that benefit both practitioners and patients.
